Two cozy cabins, ski-in ski-out Idre Himmelfjäll

On Vintergatan 2A and 2B at Idre Himmelfjäll, with ski-in/ski-out access to a child-friendly slope, we have two cabins available.

One larger cabin for up to 8 guests (92 sqm) and one smaller cabin for up to 7 guests (72 sqm).

Welcome to Idre Himmelfjäll – the smaller cabin, Vintergatan 2A

This cozy cabin was completed for the winter season of 2020.
Here you’ll stay in a great location for skiing – simply click on your skis and glide straight out onto the slope, perfect for families with young children.

The cabin is 72 sqm with 7 beds spread across two bedrooms and a loft. It features a bathroom with sauna, and an open-plan kitchen and living area.
Our charming cabin is ideal for families or groups of friends who want a comfortable stay close to the slopes.

Ground floor
You enter a spacious hallway with plenty of hooks for ski clothes and helmets, a shoe rack, and a drying cabinet.
There are two bedrooms – one smaller and one larger with a double bed – as well as a fully tiled bathroom with shower and a small sauna.

Bedroom 1: Bunk bed (90 cm)

Bedroom 2: Double bed (160 cm)

The kitchen is bright and open with high ceilings and connects to the living room.
It includes a fridge/freezer, stove, oven, coffee maker, kettle, and dishwasher.
The dining area seats seven people.
The living room features a sofa, fireplace, and TV.

Loft
A fairly steep staircase leads up to the loft, furnished with three single beds.
The loft has a slanted ceiling, a window facing the slope, and a railing overlooking the kitchen and living room.

Welcome to Idre Himmelfjäll – the larger cabin, Vintergatan 2B

Stay in a fantastic location right by the slope – just clip on your skis and go! Perfect for families with young children.

The cabin is 92 sqm and accommodates up to 8 people.
It features a bathroom with shower and sauna, an extra WC, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and living area, and a large terrace overlooking the slope.

3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft (8 beds total)

Entrance
You enter a welcoming hallway with hat and shoe racks and a WC.
A few steps up you’ll find a larger bathroom with shower, sauna, and drying cabinet.

The bright kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, stove, oven, coffee maker, kettle, and dishwasher.
The dining area is spacious and open to the living room, which has a large corner sofa and TV with basic channels.
High ceilings and large windows offer a beautiful view of the slope.
There are also three bedrooms on this floor:

Bedroom 1: Double bed (160 cm)

Bedroom 2: Bunk bed (90 cm)

Bedroom 3: Bunk bed (90 cm)

Loft
A relatively steep staircase from the living room leads to the loft.
The loft is spacious with a large double bed (200 cm) and room for extra guests if needed.
This area often becomes the children’s favorite hangout spot in the evenings.
It has an open railing overlooking the kitchen and living area.

Good to know before booking

Both cabins are ideal for two families or groups traveling together.

The cabins are self-catering, meaning guests bring their own consumables such as toilet paper, spices, oil, baking paper, etc.

Electric cars:
There is no EV charging at the cabins, and charging from a regular outlet is not allowed.
EV chargers are available at the entrance to Idre Himmelfjäll, at Idre Fjäll, and at several locations in Idre village.
