Fine house on the island Runmarö, 100 m from the sea and undisturbed swimming, with a marvelous view of the sea. 2 km from lake for more swimming. 45 km from Stockholm.

Modern house, 95 sqm, fully equipped kitchen, big comfortable living room, 3 bedrooms. Big windows and large sun deck with sea view. Bathroom with shower, sauna and eco/earth toilett (no WC) if needed also separate outhouse.
Guest cottage (10 sqm), with little veranda.
In total there are beds for 10 persons, 6 in the main house, 4 in our guest house. In the main house there is one room with a double bed and two rooms with a bunk bed each. In the guest house there are two bunk beds. There are of course pillows and quilts for all the beds bed linen and towels may be rented if requested.
Quiet surroundings, just one neighbor behind the house. The house is close to the idyllic little village Söderby on the southeast outer archipelago coast of Runmaro island.
There is a bridge for boats, and a brith for your boat may sometimes be arranged, but no guarantee. Must be agreed and settled well in advance.
Runmarö offers both nature (e.g. berries, mushrooms, many daffodils) and culture (e.g.three of novelist Strindberg''''s summer houses). A nice lake for swimming a quarter of an hours walk away. There is a food store, bakery, restaurant (often with music) tennis court, yacht club with sailing courses.

We have a little sailing boat, and Optimist dinghy, that you can use as you like. We have also two kayaks that you may rent.
Routebeschrijving: - 30-40 minutes drive (boat or bus) from Stockholm city to Stavsnäs. www.sl.se, bus no 433/434. For busses connected to boats to the island, go to www.waxholmsbolaget.se, time tables no 23A and 23B. - Then a nice trip with a regular taxi boat (30 min) directly to Hötterkroken 100 meters from our house. Book at Tjulanders, 08-57152061, schedule at www.solbergagard.nu. Easiest way. Book in advance, only 8am-6pm - Alternatively: Waxholmsbåt/ ferry (5 min) to the island (Styrsvik) and then bicycle or taxi (5 km) across the island and then walking the final 200-300 meters to the house (taxi booking from Larsson, at 571 52 259)
Very good bus connections Stavsnäs-Stockholm city, in the morning and afternoon/evening a couple of buses per hour. There are early morning busses and also evening ones, so for those who want to visit Stockholm by public transport, there a good possibilities.
Cars cannot easily be transferred to Runmarö car park in Stockholm city and in Stavsnäs. We are glad that on the island we can walk, bicycle, drive golf car or moped. Those who live the year around on Runmarö often have cars for commuting. There are two taxis on the island, and regular taxi boats around the island. If you are late for the public Waxholm-boat you can order a taxi boat in Stavsnäs.
