If you planning to visit Sweden, we recommend to rent our cottage located at the countryside nerby Skavsta Airport. The farm is located just outside the large forests of Kolmården and close to the stunning archipelago of the Baltic Sea. Many of our foreign guests express that the greatest experience was the peace and quietnes at the farm, but there is much to see in the countryside. If you want to go to the capital city it´s only one hour drive to Stockholm city.
The farm has horses, a dog, cats and a chickenhouse where you pick your breakfast eggs. You live very close to nature and can spot deers and elks comming out from the forrest. Nerby there is nice tracks in the forest with with good opportunities to make a fire and roast hot dogs, kids usually love it. We can also show the locations to experience the mating game of the black grouse, beaver spoting and more. Other things that can be arranged are archipelago excursions with our own boat and see eagles, razorbills and maybe some curious seals. Otherwise just sunbathe and swim from your own uninhabited island. During the trip will learn the basics of how to navigate at the Baltic Sea.
Our small horse farm is situated only fifteen minutes by car from Stockholm Skavsta airport. Here you will stay in the newly renovated equerry house - Stallmästarbostaden. The house is modern furnished with such as large-screen TV and cinema sound, Internet etc. The house consists of a fully equipped kitchen, hall way, bathroom, living room with two sofa beds (double beds) and a sleeping loft with one double bed.
Find us: From Skavsta Airport it is well marked with signs to reach the highway - E4. Go south a few kilometers and turn of at junction Bergshammar. Continue on this road exactly 10 kilometers and you will see a yellow sign - Öllsta 1 - on the left (if you come into the society of Jönåker, you have gone too far). Drive over the bridge and go around the yellow house. Keep on driving the road a few hundred meters and you will see one white and one yellow house on the left. Go around the white house to reach the yellow one - Öllsta. If you are driving from the south of Sweden along the highway E4, take of at junction Jönåker. Go right to the small community. In the major crossroad turn left towards Nyköping City. You drive through Jönåker and after the church turn right towards Lundaskog. You cross the bridge and turn left at the yellow sign - Öllsta 1. Follow the road one kilometer until you reach a crossroad. Drive to the right and you will see one white and one yellow house. Drive around the white house and go for the yellow house - Öllsta.
