Dalarö is by far the best summer resort by the Baltic Sea near Stockholm - the
Long Island of Stockholm! Few houses are for rent in Dalarö, but only one by the
ocean with morning sun AND evening sun. This is the only one!
Welcome to this antique fully furnished house from 1897 with all modern
equipments and very quiet sourrundings, however walking distance to the centre of Dalarö.
We are looking for two prudent non smoking persons for the entire summer or part of the summer. Garden lovers are extra welcome.
The house has 70 sq.m. (85 sq.yd.) composed of living room with fireplace, veranda with dining area and sea view, two bedrooms, one with a new double bed, two bathrooms, one with bathtub and one with shower and a new washing machine and a charming kitchen with a brand new luxuary Elektrolux stove.
We also offer a glas pavillion on the cape with fantastic view and evening sun - for meals or card games, and a very cute guest- and writers cottage with two guest beds. In addition, a port for boats, and after agreement, a boathouse with sauna, kitchenette and hot water shower.
The house is located on the southern most tip of Dalaro with sand beaches and walking distance to top quality shops with food, bakery, fish, vegetable, fruit, French cheas, restaurants and a bank.
A few steps further and you come to a yacht marina with a popular new restaurant right on the water. Several foreign sailboats arrive daily to this harbour. A small bridge lead you to large sandy beaches with swimming for children and adults.
Dalaro is connected by a bridge for cars to the mainland. On Dalarö you may also find football fields (500 m), canoe rentals (500 m), playground for kids (500 m), tennis courts (500 m), hiking (500 m), golf (5 km) and riding (10 km).
Dalarö is a true historic town with an old huge fortification and a wodden church, both from 1600, customs house from 1760, coastguard and boat connections to the far out islands Ornö and Utö.
At the end of 1800 the most well known Swedish writers (August Strindberg) and painters (Anders Zorn) spent their summers in Dalarö. It became the New Island of Stockholm.

Road all the way to the front door. 45 km drive southeast of Stockholm. Highway 73 direction Nynäshamn, turn right at sign DALARÖ. Only 45 minutes by car from the centre of Stockholm.
Daily bus connections to Dalarö from Stockholm every hour by buss 839 via Haninge/Västgerhaninge. Direct bus 869 mornings and late afternoon on week days from Gullmarsplan and T-bana.
Short walk from the bus stop at Dalarö harbor Hotellbrygga to the Yellow House.
